Troy Energy Generation Facility
Advanced Toledo office completed the Troy Energy Generation Facility located just outside Toledo, Ohio. The project, which is a cooperative effort between General Electric International, Inc. and Troy Energy, LLC, entails the installation of four (4) GE Frame 7 Combustion Turbines and related balance of plant piping and equipment.
Advanced, scope included the installation of required insulation systems for approximately 4,900 lineal feet of plant piping and twelve (12) pieces of equipment. Also a part of our scope was the installation of the owner furnished insulation components for all four (4) Turbine Exhaust Diffusers. With operating temperatures exceeding 1000 degrees Fahrenheit, this application is critical to the efficient and safe operation of the Turbine Units. Union tradesmen from the Heat and Frost Insulators Local 45 - Toledo, were utilized for all applications. Key to the successful completion of this project was the level of cooperation between the Owner, General Contractor (Industrial Power Systems, Toledo, OH) and Advanced site management team.
